Aid Myanmar
On 2 May 2008, Cyclone Nargis battered southern Myanmar, causing massive destruction. To date, more than 78,000 people have perished, over 41,000 are missing and as many as 1 million people have been left homeless. The Irrawaddy region took the brunt of the storm, with some villages almost totally eradicated and vast rice-growing areas wiped out. The storm uprooted trees, toppled electricity and telephone poles, and burst water pipes, leaving the several million without basic utilities. International aid is starting to trickle in, led by the U.N.'s World Food Program.
While the government is trying to show that it can handle the crisis on its own, ahead of a referendum on the constitution, the international community is clamouring for more access to the military-ruled country, in order to help the victims and carry out relief operations.
The below link shows some of the organizations and aid agencies involved in the Myanmar relief effort. If you would like to help, please view their websites to find out how you can participate.

Last, I have enclosed some pictures shared by Joanne, a compassionate friend of mine. You & I can play an important role of aid too by sharing this with our family and friends who may wish to extend their help too and the shared info may just come in handy.
Both Myanmar and China, double whammy!
In times of crisis, one may has temptations to question "Why"?, "Why God?", "Why me?", "Where were you God?".... Frequently, one easily forgets that to begin with, God actually loves us so much to have permitted His son, Jesus, to suffer and die on the cross for us. He loves us FIRST before we love Him.
So, believe that "Disasters are not brought upon by God" whilst also accepting that God permits some situations to happen. In a battle between *GOOD* and evil, God always reigns in His most amazing ways and grace.
Lets continue to uphold Him and glorify Him by keeping our our brothers and sisters in constant prayers. This is also a good time to put our faith to the test and to elevate it to the next level!
